Tips to Speak Confidently Like in any Hallway Conversation

New ways to eradicate the fear before a speech or presentation.

When I think about public speaking, I like the mental image of a speech being like a random conversation in a hallway. Have you ever had someone stop you in the hallway and ask you a question? How did you respond? Was it stressful?

My public speaking mentality is just that: a hallway conversation mentality. I believe a speaker should be as comfortable with a large audience as they are with an unprepared hallway conversation. Don’t you agree?

You and I should be able to speak with a large audience as if we just met each other in a hallway and sparked up a conversation, but somehow there’s fear related to speaking to a large audience. This fear can sneak up on you, overwhelm you and disable your ability to maintain decent flow in a speech even just to be able to communicate your message clearly.

What are some things that you can do to change your public speaking performance to be more natural and comfortable a hallway conversation? Please leave a comment and sign up to follow the conversation.
