[Video] 17 May 2025 Fearless Speaker’s Circle Recap: “Your Voice vs. The Voice of Fear”

Location: Virtual on Zoom
Powered by: FDS Dojo (Freedom-Driven Speech)

This week’s Fearless Speaker’s Circle was intimate, powerful, and a bold step toward freedom from fear in speech, leadership, and lifestyle. Master Sergeant Carter opened with a heartfelt introduction about the why behind the Dojo: a lifelong battle with fear, transformed into purpose through military service, public speaking, and spiritual revelation. Now, with two books (Fear Driven Speech and Spiritual Survival), he’s building a community devoted to courage, authenticity, and Christ-centered growth.

Watch the video below for highlights of the meeting

Key Moments:

  • Real Talk: We opened up about the fears that grip our voice, identity, and leadership. From stage fright to hiding our faith in public, nothing was off limits.
  • Testimonies of Struggle and Growth: MSgt Carter shared a powerful story about standing up to workplace toxicity—and the moment fear tried to freeze him at the door. Many resonated with the tension between boldness and hesitation.
  • Fear as a Personality: Using insights from Fear Driven Speech, we unpacked how fear speaks like a manipulative voice in your mind. “Fear leads to resistance. Resistance leads to hopelessness.” But God did not give us that spirit (2 Timothy 1:7).
  • Faith and Freedom: Members shared their own breakthroughs and struggles—especially the fear of being “outed” as serious Christians, and the fear of stepping out after long seasons of isolation.
  • Strategies for Bold Living:
    • Speak truth even when nervous.
    • Practice non-verbal control—like breathing and pacing when emotions rise.
    • Use your voice in small ways daily (greetings, prayers, mini-testimonies).
    • See fear as an unwelcome visitor—don’t hold hands with stupid.

Scripture Anchors:

  • “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
  • “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
