Lonnie “Wade” Carter is a seasoned leader and instructor with over 24 years of experience in operations, training, and management. A retired United States Air Force Master Sergeant, Wade has built a distinguished career by leveraging his extensive knowledge and expertise in vehicle operations, leadership development, and team management. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence, a strong work ethic, and a passion for cultivating talent in both military and civilian settings.
As the founder of Wade Carter Consulting, Wade draws from a rich background that spans across various sectors, including heavy equipment operation, transportation management, leadership training, and curriculum development. Wade’s expertise is underpinned by his hands-on experience teaching over 1,200 students at the Vehicle Operations Technical School at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, and directing the Airman Leadership School where he taught and oversaw the development and training 840 future leaders for the U.S. Air Force.
His leadership journey is marked by his own personal “fear of public speaking” journey and his ability to manage large-scale operations and cultivate high-performing teams in dynamic environments. Wade has led teams in a wide range of roles, from vehicle operations and dispatch teams to hospitality, maintenance, customer service, and higher education instructor teams. He has successfully created training programs, written policy, and executed complex operational directives, all while prioritizing safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
In addition to his technical expertise, Wade is a Certified Myers-Briggs Personality Type Practitioner and holds a variety of relevant certifications, including a Class A CDL and multiple degrees in transportation management, technology instruction, and Religion. He is also committed to fostering wellness and promoting a balanced approach to leadership, emphasizing the importance of mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being for teams to thrive.
