Goal #10 of 10 goals that lay the foundation for a successful speech.

Outside these 10 goals, everything else is optional and should be tailored to the specific time, location, topic, and audience to which you are presenting. 

10. Provide solid transitions (the most underrated & overlooked public speaking concept)  

  • Use Summary, Link, Announce (SLA) to keep the topic tour meaningful and flowing smoothly along the established common thread 
    • These transitions open the doors between one MP and the next and keep your message clear from beginning to end
