Wherever you stumble, freeze, hiccup, or runaway; fear is there. Fear enjoys standing next to you, holding your hand, tugging on your shirt, whispering in your ear, covertly influencing, forcing, coercing, convincing you, and lying to you.
If you could see this friend, how long would you put up with his ridiculous behaviors? How long would you continue to let him tag along with you and come home with you? How long would you let him sleep in your house? How long would he be welcome to eat your food and not buy groceries? How long would you allow him to stay with you and not pitch in, not help around the house? How long would you let him stay with you?

What friend would you allow into your friend circle who is never positive, never encouraging, never supportive, never allows you to have your own relationships, and never goes away?
How long would you categorize this person as friend in your life. Don’t you have standards? Can just anyone have your blessing to know everything about you, always be near you, advise you, control you? Why don’t you ever challenge him?
When will you demand anything of fear? You can start with, “don’t try to tell me that.” Every time he says another one of his lies you can tell him, “that’s not true” or “I’m not listening to you anymore.” Say, “I don’t trust you.” “I’m making my own determination, my own decision.” “Leave me alone.” “You aren’t welcome around me anymore.” “Go away and never come back.” “You never were my friend.”
Be strong and courageous. If you tell him long enough and enough times with conviction. He (fear) will leave. The longer and harder, the more determination and grit you employ to dismiss him; the more freedom and relief you will experience.
