Every airman hits a turning point. For Master Sergeant Carter, it was ALS—and fear almost won. Freedom-Driven Speech is the book he wishes he had then. Watch now to see why this message belongs in every AAFES store—and in every airman’s hands before they take charge.
Master Sergeant Wade Carter (Ret.) shares his mission to get Freedom-Driven Speech into every AAFES bookstore across military bases. This isn’t just a book—it’s a lifeline. Born from his personal battles with fear, leadership anxiety, and public speaking struggles, Freedom-Driven Speech captures the exact transformation every airman needs before stepping into their first leadership role.
In this raw and powerful message, Carter reflects on how different his Airman Leadership School experience could’ve been if this book had existed. ALS marks the moment when fear either limits a new NCO—or gets conquered for good. This book is written to ensure the latter.
Whether you’re preparing to supervise for the first time, lead a team, or brief VIPs without fear, this is the training guide you’ve been missing. It’s more than storytelling—it’s a leadership weapon forged through fire. The goal: help every service member find their voice, erase the fear, and rise with confidence.
