Freedom-Driven Leadership is a five-week, live Zoom public-speaking/leadership course for military and civilian professionals who are stepping into supervisory roles or are already serving as middle managers.
Based on my book Freedom-Driven Speech, the course applies public-speaking principles to the practical situations leadership requires. It is not limited to standing alone on a stage in front of an audience.
We will explore how fear targets your personality, power, and authority—and how practical speaking principles can help you communicate more naturally and effectively.
Week 1 — Fear Is a Freeloader
Recognize fear as an unwanted influence and understand how it targets personality, power, and authority.
Week 2 — Free Your Personality
Become more comfortable speaking as yourself instead of trying to imitate someone else’s idea of a speaker or leader.
Week 3 — Stand in Your Power and Authority
Learn to take the floor, remain composed through mistakes, organize your knowledge, and become comfortable with silence.
Week 4 — Give Your Leadership Message Structure
Create clear main points, use effective transitions, handle unexpected speaking opportunities, and communicate your team’s work effectively.
Week 5 — Build Audience Engagement and Credibility
Reduce nervous chatter, remain relevant, handle questions, use genuine enthusiasm, and recognize habits that interfere with audience connection.
By the end of five weeks, you will have a practical framework for speaking with greater confidence, clarity, and authority in everyday leadership situations—without feeling that you must perform or become someone you are not.
