Dear Believer, …

I’m writing this to you because I love you.

Please hear my heart:

I am not questioning whether you once believed. I am not questioning whether you love God. I am not questioning whether Christ has been real to you.

What I am concerned about is where your life is being led right now.

Salvation is not merely something we once received; it is something we live out under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Jesus never separated believing in Him from following Him. He never offered salvation without surrender. He said plainly, “Follow me.”

And that’s the part I’m worried about.

Not whether you believe the right things—but whether Christ is truly governing your life in practice.

Jesus asked the most serious question a human being can face: What will a person give in exchange for their soul? That question wasn’t for unbelievers only. In fact, it was spoken to the disciples. The people already walking with Him.

And the danger He warned about wasn’t rebellion—it was self-preservation.

The flesh doesn’t usually scream, “Reject God.” It whispers, “Be careful. Protect yourself. Don’t go too far. You can follow Jesus and still keep control.” It sounds reasonable. It sounds wise. It even sounds spiritual.

But Scripture says the carnal mind is enmity against God.

Not ignorance.

Not immaturity.

Opposition.

That is what frightens me for you—not because you are intentionally wicked, but because the flesh is subtle, persuasive, and patient. It doesn’t demand everything at once. It slowly redefines obedience until surrender feels unnecessary and delay feels justified.

Jesus never told us to manage our lives better. He told us to lose our lives.

He meant that whoever rules your decisions, your priorities, your reactions, and your direction—that is your lord.

Partial surrender is not neutral ground. There is no safe middle place where Christ shares authority. He is Lord… or He is not.

I know how uncomfortable that sounds. But that’s why I’m saying this. Because I will not stay silent while someone I care about slowly drifts to where they honor Jesus with words but resist Him with life.

God knows we stumble. My question is, who are you yielding to day-by-day?

Jesus said, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

Daily.

Not once.

Not occasionally.

Not when it feels safe.

The flesh will always argue for comfort, control, and delay. The Spirit will always lead toward obedience, surrender, and trust.

And I’m worried you’re listening more to the voice that promises safety than the One who promises life.

Please hear this clearly: God is not trying to take something from you. He is trying to rescue you from being ruled by something that cannot save you. The flesh never delivers what it promises. It only withdraws obedience until faith becomes theory instead of life.

I am saying this because you are not beyond hope.

Jesus is not waiting for you to clean yourself up. He is waiting for you to stop negotiating and yield fully. He is calling you back from religion, from emotion, and from comfort to Himself.

And yes, that road includes death. Daily death to self-rule, self-protection, and self-direction. But on the other side of that death is peace, clarity, and freedom the flesh can never produce.

I would not say this if I didn’t believe your soul mattered more than my comfort. I would not say this if I didn’t care deeply about where you stand with Christ right now.

Please except this from someone who loves you enough to tell the truth.

You don’t need to defend yourself to me. You only need to be honest before God.

I’m here. I care. And I’m praying that you choose life, belief, and surrender.

You can change all this in the name of Jesus
